President’s Message

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who made our October 22nd Conference in Charleston an absolute success.  We had a total of 86 participants in attendance which is another SCIMA record.  Without a doubt, our sponsor, SCANA, helped us with providing a top-notch facility and a delicious lunch and each of our presenters provided engaging insight concerning domestic and international terrorism trends.  We also cannot forget that our own Wanda Busbee and our InfraGard Coordinator, Tab Clardy, put a lot of behind the scenes effort into this event.

Please mark your calendars for our next conference to be held on Wednesday December 3rd at the Fluor facility in Greenville.  This event promises to be another great conference.  With the current issues concerning the Ebola virus and flu season upon us, the Board has decided that the topic for the upcoming December conference will be Public Healthcare.  Even if you are not a member of the Health Care Sector, I encourage you to attend because the issue of a pandemic disease affects personnel associated with every sector of critical infrastructure.

You can actually start registering for the December 3rdconference by contacting Wanda Busbee at  The $10 registration fee is waived for all members who have paid their dues.  Members who have not paid their dues and guests can pay the registration fee using our PayPal link at  .The PayPal link is in the bottom right corner and please indicate that you are paying the December registration fee.

Dues for 2015 can also be paid using the PayPal link. The SCIMA membership has voted to reduce the fee from $35 to $25 for the upcoming year.  These dues are voluntary and not mandatory and help us offset the costs of the conferences.

Thank you again for your participation and I am looking forward to seeing you in December.
